Major Cricket League (MLC) MI New York got another heartbreak as they lost against Washington Freedom and maybe they are on the verge of elimination. Washington Freedom made the match one side and didn’t give a chance to perform MI New York.
Great day for Travis Head and Andries Gous
Washington Freedom had a great chance to prove themselves and they did, so they were invited to bat first and they rose to the occasion. Opener Travis Head once again proved himself why he is the headache for the opposition and scored a great fifty but later lost his wicket. Travis Head and Andries Gous stabled the innings when Steve Smith lost his wicket. Even Andries Gous played an incredible knock and scored 59 runs which proved even more of an ache to MI New York bowlers. Finishing touches by Rachin Ravindra helped Washington Freedom to register 182 runs onboard.

Not an ideal day for MI New York bowlers
Despite winning the toss MI New York suffered a headache while bowling, none of the bowlers could bowl perfectly rather than they conceded plenty of runs only Rashid Khan and Kieron Pollard picked 2 wickets and debutant Romario Shepherd picked 1 wicket. The bowling unit is pretty strong but they couldn’t perform as per their expectations.

MI New York demolished like a pack of cards
So the target was 183 for MI New York but they failed and were helpless as no one could contribute in the run chase. Every batter got out in single-digit scores, seeing such a ridiculous performance from a team that is known for big run chases and has fireguns like Nicholas Pooran, Monank Patel, Kieron Pollard, etc. but they disappointed everyone. Only Romario Shepherd scored 25 runs which was the highest score. Whole team got all out on 88.

Washington Freedom bowlers were impressed with their bowling
As the batters did their job well so did the bowlers, Washington Freedom had a great day with bowling too. Bowlers were playing with the stumps it felt because the ball didn’t give a single chance to batters to score runs and so bowlers bowled brilliantly. Every bowler picked wickets, Jasdeep Singh picked the highest 3 wickets while Glenn Maxwell, Marco Jansen, and Lockie Ferguson picked 2 wickets and Ian Holland picked 1 wicket. In the end, we could say it was completely a team performance and gave no chance to MI New York batters to score runs. Jasdeep Singh was the Man Of the Match.
