In response to a question concerning Jasprit Bumrah, Karthik stated that the star pacer is now the best all-around bowler in international cricket.

“When I was on air, I said he is more valuable than a Kohinoor diamond. Genuinely, he is the greatest all-format bowler at the moment in world cricket. Under pressure to come and keep performing time and time again, not many can do that,” Karthik said.

“He’s a captain’s dream—someone who wins at any stage, any play of the match—that’s what makes him so special. Brilliant, fantabulous—that’s the word for him,” he added.

Jasprit Bumrah participated in all eight of Team India’s matches at the T20 World Cup 2024 and was named Player of the Match in both the matchups against Ireland and Pakistan. Bumrah not only finished as the third-highest wicket-taker in the T20 World Cup 2024, but he also didn’t give up any runs, which allowed India to put pressure on the players in the opposition.

With an average of 8.27 and a bowling economy of 4.18, he concluded the event. Jasprit Bumrah has participated in 70 matches since making his T20I debut for India on January 26, 2016, against Australia in Adelaide. Bumrah is now Team India’s third-leading wicket-taker in the game’s shortest format with 89 wickets.
