South Africa head coach Rob Walter lauds the team for their efficient performance and however they remained on losing side but they won the hearts of everyone the kind of cricket they played and remained unbeaten till final. Later Rob Walter also advised that South Africa can win by just removing the tag of ‘Chokers’ which is stuck with them past many years and so they were on the verge of proving themselves but fell short. Rob Walter said:
“It’s not something we discuss in the changing room, but I still believe that South Africa will have to win the World Cup for everyone to stop talking about choking. Sport is sport, and there will be those moments when we don’t succeed in those moments where the decision-making goes in a different way. Unfortunately, it seems like that tag will follow us until the trophy is lifted.”
Rob Walter lauds Jasprit Bumrah
Further Rob Walter also said that the comeback by Indian team was flawless and out of nowhere they made their bowling even more stronger in death overs and so the match shifted to India. Meanwhile Rob Walter also mentioned Jasprit Bumrah his performance will be remembered for longtime and he praised him for his tactical bowling. Rob Walter said:
“The level of skill was awesome throughout and to lose that way always hurts. When margins are small, you’re always reflecting on what might have been. There’s no disgrace in seeing some great skill from Jasprit Bumrah in particular, who I felt was incredible at the back end of the game. He really slowed things down. It’s small consolation, I guess.”
