Border-Gavaskar Trophy is the most anticipated series when India and Australia always face each other some or the other clashes happen and so it makes most hottest series of cricket. Australia haven’t been able to dominate BGT trophy and not winning a series since last 10 years is not a good thing at all
Many players have made this series happen with a lot of memories, since 2014 India has kept there dominance over Australia and the Aussies have failed to win the series since then. The skipper Pat Cummins also has said that the side is eager to dictate the terms against the Rohit Sharma led side who have been quite invincible.
Nathan Lyon speaks about Australia’s mistakes against India
Australia won the World Test Championship against India in 2023 but they haven’t the series since 2014 and they have committed some mistakes so which they costed them badly. Australia’s veteran bowler Nathan Lyon speaks about their mistakes, Nathan Lyon said:
“It’s been 10 years of unfinished business. It’s been a long time. I know I’m extremely hungry to turn things around and make sure we get that trophy back, that’s for sure,” Lyon told AAP.
There are a few factors there, but I’m always planning to play all five (Tests). I think with a bowling captain as well, he can be a lot smarter in that regard in terms of maybe throwing the ball to Travis Head for an over here or there and Cameron Green and Mitch Marsh. We’ve got a lot of extra bowlers there as well,” Hazlewood told AAP.
“I often reflect on a lot of series and where we potentially could have done better, even when we win series. I feel that’s incredibly important in your learning, to be able to sit back and reflect and understand what you did well and what you didn’t do well,” Lyon added in the same interaction.
“There’s a few things that I feel like we can do (differently). I feel like we’re a different team from a couple of years ago and on a journey to becoming a great Australian cricket team. We’re not there, but we’re along that journey,” Lyon concluded.
India has won a test series on Australian soil two times and both times India has made a comeback after a shocking setback, which gave them confidence but the 2021 series will always be remembered for youngsters and Rishabh Pant’s impressive knock. Will India make it for the third time?
