Nathan Lyon cleaned up the tail and finished with 3/25 in 11.3 overs. Josh Hazlewood bowled 7 overs for 16 runs without picking up a wicket. So, Australia won by an innings and 51 runs to level the 2-match series 1-1 inside 2 days in Mackay. Mitchell Starc was awarded the Player of the Match and the series.
So, with this, the two-Test match series between Australia and Bangladesh came to an end with the series ending in a 1-1 stalemate. Australia will next play South Africa in South Africa in a 3-match Test series in October, while Bangladesh in the Test arena will next host West Indies in October.
