Major League Cricket (MLC) witnessed an awestruck moment between Texas Super Kings and MI New York, almost match could go under the pocket of MI New York but Texas Super Kings snatched the victory from jaws of defeat. MI New York had a bad luck, last match between same teams was washed out and today Texas won a thriller in Dallas.
Texas Super Kings showed class with the bat
MI New York had opted to bowl first and bowlers couldn’t hold their nerves and so Texas Super Kings took it as an advantage and smashed runs on the board, openers Devon Conway and skipper Faf Du Plessis had a blast with the bat as skipper rose to the occasion and scored 61 runs, while finishing touches by Marcus Stoinis helped Texas Super Kings to score 176 onboard.
Decent day for MI New York bowlers
MI New York was playing after many days and so bowlers couldn’t roll their arms properly and concede runs, despIte that Trent Boult picked 2 wickets while Afghan wizard Rashid Khan bowled an economical spell concede just 17 runs and picked 1 wicket. As it was understood MI New York was playing after many days and to control the niggles should be more important and so they couldn’t give their best still they are one of the best bowling unit in MLC.
Rashid Khan and Monank Patel failed to conquer
So it’s time to show that batters have the potential to prove that they can do it, but all of a sudden it turned as a nightmare MI New York lost their openers early, Nicholas Pooran too lost his wicket, Monank Patel stood for the team but wickets were falling from other side and felt like support and hope both will be lost but as soon as Rashid Khan entered he brought some ray of hope for MI New York and smashed a great fifty in 22 balls and his cameo didn’t stayed long as Marcus Stoinis dismissed Rashid Khan and also the hopes of MI New York too. Monank Patel’s 61 runs too vent in vain and lost the match by 15 runs so close yet so far still they fought and showed how matches are fought till the end. Despite MI New York lost the match Rashid Khan was adjourned as Man Of the Match for his heroic innings of 50 in 23 balls, including 4 fours and 5 sixes.
Stoinis stole the show for Texas Super Kings
So it’s time for bowlers to roll their arms and defend the target they started very well dismissing 3 batters and put MI New York in trouble but later Monank and Rashid show made Texas Super Kings to think whether they will lose the match but Marcus Stoinis had a great day with the ball though he conceded many runs but he picked 4 wickets and Zia-Ul-Haq picked 2 wickets, Texas Super Kings had a great day with both bat and ball so they won the match by 15 runs.
