Miyaan Mohammed Siraj’s Magic
Mohammed Siraj once again breathed fire with the new ball and made the batters dance to his moves. He picked both Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head earlier, which put the hosts on the back foot straight away. He registered his best bowling figure in IPL of 4-17-4.
Mohammed Siraj also holds the record for bowling the most number of dot balls in this IPL season in the powerplay. Mohammed Siraj had bowled 40 dot balls so far. The DSP (*official job posting of Siraj apart from cricket) is arresting every batter who tries to hit against him in the powerplay.
Sai “Consistent” Sudharsan
Sai Sudharsan is a young talent from Tamil Nadu who made his IPL Debut in 2022 for GT. The elegant lefty batter is a solid batter who brings stability to the team. Sai rarely throws his wicket away by playing ramp shots & also is known for his consistency.
Sai Sudharsan had played in 29 innings so far, and only twice has he been dismissed in the single-digit score. Yesterday he got out for 5 runs and that’s his lowest score in IPL. This shows how consistent he can be.
Powerplay struggle for SRH
SRH are known to dominate the powerplay in the previous season. They also created a record of becoming the first team to smash more than 100 runs twice in IPL History. But in this season, after the first match, things have changed upside down for them.
They hold the bad record of losing more wickets in this powerplay so far. SRH lost 12 wickets in the first 6 overs in the four matches so far. After losing early wickets in the powerplay, their middle order is struggling to build partnerships to take their team to a big total.
