Major Cricket League (MLC) San Francisco Unicorns won a thriller and qualified for playoffs. Defending champions MI New York are officially knocked out of the tournament, another heartbreak performance.
Slow start, Corey Anderson ends on big for San Francisco Unicorns
San Francisco Unicorns had opted to bat first but somehow their luck didn’t support them as they lost a couple of wickets in powerplay and scored just 26 losing 4 wickets, MI New York had come with a strong mind to win this game and they kept silent in the powerplay. But soon after powerplay match took a slight turn as Hassan Khan played an impressive knock of 44, then came the main savior and ray of hope for San Francisco Unicorns Corey Anderson, who took the match towards them and made a brilliant fifty which took a sharp twist in the game and score was made 148.

Quiet impressive performance by MI New York
MI New York’s bowling has not been up to the mark past many matches but today it was not the best but still impressive, an early breakthrough in powerplay was quite impressive but later they didn’t get a chance to come so they failed in the death overs. Noshthush Kenjige and Trent Boult picked 2 wickets while Romario Shepherd and Rashid Khan picked 1 wicket each.

So close yet so far for MI New York batters
MI New York batters started quite slow but lost just one wicket. Dewald Brevis stood from one end and played a great knock of 56 but later he lost his wicket and felt like all hopes were walking towards the pavilion as skipper Kieron Pollard couldn’t resist much he also lost his wicket. In the end last over 20 needed from 6 Heath Richards and Rashid Khan were the last who could finish the game Heath Richards smashed a great six on Haris Rauf’s first ball and then it was like the match was on but when 4 was needed from 1 ball Heath Richards tried of reverse scoop and he missed it which cost them badly and got knocked out officially from the tournament.

Batting was completed by Corey Anderson and he did his job and it’s time for bowlers to roll their arms on the right path. Bowlers also did their job pretty well which made that win possible especially the last over which was defended successfully by Haris Rauf. Matthew Short picked 3 wickets while Brody Couch picked 2 wickets. The Francisco Unicorns are now qualified for playoffs. Corey Anderson was adjourned as Man Of the Match.
