PAK vs BAN:”Babar Azam Has The Best Technique Among All Batters” – Former Pakistan Player Rates Modern-Day Greats

Pakistan’s new-era batsmen don’t generate many techniques but it’s Babar Azam who holds the records and carries them forward, however, he always gets trolled over his batting and his work culture, as we all know his strike rate is very low in T20Is and so he needs to change his batting style.

Current batters are not gearing up well and are compared with Babar Azam, The T20I numbers of Azam are astonishing though he lacks because of his strike rate but he has scored 3 centuries which is an achievement for him.

Mohammed Zahid lauds Babar Azam

Former Pakistan player Mohammed Zahid lauds Babar Azam for his batting technique since he has the opportunity to be a great batsman for  Pakistan if he changes his style of batting, some aggression is needed, and the current era demands. In the T20 World Cup 2024, Babar Azam wasn’t that great he scored just one fifty rest his leaning patch continued throughout the World Cup. Mohammed Zahid said:

“If you ask me skill-wise, it is Babar Azam. Babar has the best technique among all batters. However, when we talk about performances and the knowledge of batting, Joe Root and Steve Smith are on another level. They don’t have the kind of ability that Babar has, but they are more clever when it comes to game assessment. I would rank Steve Smith at one, Joe Root at second, and then Babar Azam.”

Further Mohammed Zahid also compared Rohit Sharma with Virat Kohli since both are the pillars of Indian cricket and both have their own style of playing cricket but Mohammed Zahid has chosen Rohit Sharma over Virat Kohli. He said:

“Nobody can deny Virat Kohli. However, I’d rate Rohit Sharma higher than Kohli. Rohit is the best batsman in the world at present. He is very courageous against fast bowlers. He is a gifted player. He picks the length very quickly, like how Inzaman-ul-Haq used to do.”
