Bangladesh will play two match test series against Pakistan in Pakistan, after the T20 World Cup 2024 both teams will be facing each other and it’s a record that Bangladesh hasn’t won a single test match against Pakistan. Bangladeshi Tigers will have to bring their ‘A’ game to beat Pakistan who are quite a team to beat in their home conditions and we should not forget that Pakistan are in contention of ICC World Test Championship (WTC 2023-25) cycle placed at 5th position in the points table with a percentile of 36.66.
Bangladesh will aim to create history in Pakistan and considering the current form of test format, Bangladesh is quite strong but it had a long gap, Shakib Al Hasan will make his comeback first he wasn’t going to play but then he made himself available. Shakib needs to bat responsibly and most importantly grind the opposition by playing long and effective knocks against a strong Pakistani bowling attack.
All eyes will be on Pakistan’s newly appointed Test Match Head Coach Jason Gillespie who has urged Pakistani players to develop their own brand of cricket. Babar Azam who was ignored for Test captaincy would be eager to make a statement that he is not done and according to sources with knowledge, it is believed that there are a lot of rifts between players, coaching staff and selection panel which is not a good thing.
