Basit Ali advises Babar Azam
Babar Azam has been the pillar of Pakistan cricket, however, his style has not supported him past many months in the end he failed to score big runs, and his leaning patch continues, Babar Azam scored just one half-century in the whole tournament and his captaincy was also not capable enough to cheer the players everyone was behaving according to them none of them listened to his plans. So, this test series is an ultimatum for Babar Azam to prove his skills and also to become one of the best players in the world. Former Pakistan player Basit Ali too has advised Babar Azam to change his technique and bring some aggression. Basit Ali said:
“Babar Azam will score five centuries in the coming five months. Babar has the best chance to leave the top batters behind, whether it is Kane Williamson or Joe Root. It is a very easy chance. However, now that the pressure of captaincy is off from him, he should forget about the captaincy. He should remove the thought of captaincy from his mind and just focus on scoring runs.”
“Babar Azam still has seven to eight days. He should start skipping ropes. I am giving him this advice which was given to me by Asian Bradman, Zaheer Abbas. It helps in feet movement. Also, Babar needs to shorten his stance by a few inches. If he does these things, he will leave the top batters behind in five months. If you want to see someone’s stance, look at Virat Kohli. Both of them have the same height.”
Many more tours are lined up, there is a saying ‘Charity begins at home’ so Babar Azam should get ready to kick off the matches and should be able to bring his new avatar in front of everyone.
