KKR vs GT: Finn Allen’s Hail-Storm Rips Apart GT

Kolkata Knight Riders produced a batting masterclass against Gujarat Titans as Finn Allen‘s brutal hitting powered KKR to a massive 247/2 at Eden Gardens. Finn Allen looked unstoppable from the moment he arrived at the crease and completely dismantled GT’s bowling attack with fearless Strokeplay.

Finn Allen smashed 93 runs off just 35 deliveries at a staggering strike rate of 265.71, hammering 4 fours and 10 sixes during his breathtaking innings. The right-hander attacked almost every bowler he faced and turned the powerplay into a nightmare for Gujarat. His aggressive approach ensured KKR raced to 44/1 within the first five overs despite Anjinkya Rahane’s early dismissal.

GT Bowlers Fail to Stop Finn Allen

The GT bowling unit struggled badly once Finn Allen found his rhythm. Mohammed Siraj removed Rahane for 14 runs, but after that breakthrough, the KKR opener launched a brutal counterattack. Siraj conceded 50 runs in his four overs, while Rashid Khan endured one of his toughest outings of the season after leaking 57 runs at an economy of 14.25.

Finn Allen targeted Rashid especially in the middle overs, using his feet brilliantly to clear the ropes repeatedly. Sai Kishore managed to dismiss Allen eventually, but by then the damaged had already been done. Arshad Khan’s single over cost 22 runs, showing how difficult it became for GT to stop the momentum.

KKR crossed 139 runs by the 12th over before Allen finally departed, leaving GT completely under pressure for the remainder of the innings.

Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Cameron Green Continue the Destruction

After Finn Allen’s dismissal, Angrish Raghuvanshi ensured the scoring rate never dropped. The young batter remained unbeaten on 82 runs off 44 balls, smashing 7 sixes and 4 boundaries while rotating strike smartly throughout the innings.

Cameron Green added further misery for Gujarat Titans with a powerful unbeaten 52 off just 28 deliveries. His late assault in the death overs pushed KKR close to the 250-run mark. The partnership between Raghuvanshi and Green frustrated GT bowlers completely as KKR scored boundaries almost every over during the final phase.

The finishing overs highlighted Gujarat’s struggles, with no bowler expect Jason Holder managing to keep the economy below ten.

Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler Fight Back in the Chase

Chasing 248 was always going to be difficult, but Gujarat Titans still showed intent with the bat. Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler kept GT alive with attacking strokes during the middle overs. Gill’s wicket at 177/2 in the 17th over, however, shifted the game firmly back towards Kolkata.

Sunil Narine played a crucial role with the ball, picking up two important wickets while conceding only 29 runs in his four-over spell. Cameron Green also impressed by taking a wicket and maintaining control during the middle overs.

Despite scoring an impressive 218/4 in 20 overs, Gujarat Titans eventually fell short by 29 runs as the massive target proved too much even for their powerful batting.
