Pakistan will be hosting the Champions Trophy 2025 though the schedule regarding that hasn’t been released they are keen to host the event, for PCB has started renovating and maintenance for stadiums to get facilities like international stadiums and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has personally said that he wants Pakistan stadium to be recognized internationally.

Pakistan stadiums haven’t been maintained properly due to fewer international matches and so they felt guilt about this so they are taking this seriously. There is still a lot of uncertainty whether PCB will host the entire ICC Champions Trophy 2025 as most importantly BCCI hasn’t given a green signal whether they will come in Pakistan else the tournament will be played in hybrid model in Sri Lanka or UAE.

Mohsin Naqvi speaks about the quality of stadiums

Pakistan will commence their home series on August 21 against Bangladesh in two match test series, earlier it was said that the first match would be played at Rawalpindi and the second at Karachi, but due to renovation Karachi stadium won’t be hosting the second test so both matches will be played at the same venue. However, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi speaks about the quality of stadiums and how they can be recognized internationally. Currently, Pakistan is facing a recession but ICC Champions Trophy can bring profit for them so they have started working on their stadiums to get a fresh look and to be used more. Mohsin Naqvi said:

“There’s a huge difference in international stadiums and those of ours… none of our stadiums are of international standard. The Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) team is working day and night. [We] will make our stadiums one of the best in the world… providing basic facilities in stadiums is [our] first priority.”

“We have been guided by the construction experts on the timelines for the readiness of the [National Stadium in Karachi]. They advised that while construction could continue during playing hours, the resulting noise pollution would disturb the cricketers. Additionally, the dust from the construction work could also affect the health and well-being of the players, officials, broadcasters, and media.”
