ENG vs WI: “We Will Still Try To Score Quickly But…..”- Zak Crawley Makes A Huge Statement On ‘Bazball’

England national cricket team will be aiming for a quick turn around when they would lock horns against West Indies on 10th July for a 3 Test match series. The opening batter Zak Crawley along with Ben Duckett will have t0 make sure that they make the most of their starts. Zak Crawley might have scored 407 runs in 5 Test matches but his shot selection was quite questionable and despite that he was quite optimistic of England’s ultra attacking approach ‘Bazball’.

‘Bazball’ got a reality check as the Men in Blue not only won the Test Series by 4-1 but made a statement that Test cricket isn’t just all about entertainment. England’s head coach Brendon McCullum and skipper Ben Stokes will have to reconsider their batting approach as they can’t afford to take West Indies lightly.

All eyes though will be on the veteran pacer James Anderson who still has the passion and vigor to represent England in the longest format of the game. James Anderson along with Mark Wood would be the key against Caribbean who would be aiming to spoil the party of the Britishers the same way they did of Australia at the Gabba.

We always talk about absorbing pressure and putting pressure back on the opposition team- Zak Crawley

Zak Crawley was seen at an event for Swiss Watch Brand radio. Zak Crawley made it very clear that they are not changing their batting approach but said that they need pick those moments to absorb at the right times as well. Zak Crawley said that England could have won the match in Ranchi and could have made it 2-2 and stated that who knows what could have been the result of the Test series.

“We always talk about absorbing pressure and putting pressure back on. The last couple of years we’ve done the putting pressure back on pretty well and we’ve spoken about maybe picking those moments to absorb at the right times as well. We can certainly refine that,” said Zak Crawley.

“That’s not to say we’re going to get more negative. We will still try to play the way we have and try to score quickly but yeah, picking those moments where they’re on top and we need to absorb. We should have won in Ranchi to make it 2-2 and then you never know how the last one goes,” he added.
