Explosive batter Nicholas Pooran whose from in white ball is very impressive and we all know that he is the king of T20 format, his recent knocks in T20 World Cup was quite impressive and in franchise cricket also he conquered many records. Last year under his captaincy he won the inagural title of MLC cricket for MI New York. So, we all know that he can roll his arm in white ball then why team management didn’t consider him red ball cricket, ahead of his current from and experience he should consider in red ball cricket. Upon this former West Indian legend Brian Lara expressed his views for exclusion of Nicholas Pooran from test cricket. Brian Lara said:
“Everyone would love to see Nicholas Pooran in a Test match. I don’t know if he was asked, I don’t know the situation. I’d love to see a Shai Hope back in the West Indies team. But we’ve got to play with what we have.
“And what we have is a group of young players that want to play for West Indies, that want to play Test cricket. Hopefully, their style will come out and they can be successful.”
Brian Lara further recalled the historic match and win against Australia in Gabba which made everyone happy and started celebrating the victory, even Brian Lara couldn’t stop expressing his feelings his eyes were filled with tears after the win. Brian Lara said:
“This West Indies team can stand tall today, West Indies cricket can stand tall today. When you’re in Australia, you understand there’s going to be that slight arrogance. The final day, they felt it was going to be an easy task. I was just very proud of these young cricketers. Twenty-seven years it took us to win a Test match in Australia. I couldn’t be a happier West Indian.”
