Test cricket gets even more thrilling and hotter when India and Australia clash with each other, especially red ball format is like a war between two nations, and recent results all have gone under India. India have shown a fighting spirit against Australia even when they were in a precarious position and odds against them.
However, Australia won the World Test Championship was bagged by Australia but India won’t spare that final this time India will aim to win the trophy for the third time in a row. Aussie skipper Pat Cummins even stated that he hasn’t won Border-Gavaskar Trophy in his career and is eager to break the jinx.
John Buchanan feels India may lack against Australia
India has dominated Australia not just in India but in Australia too, India has a humongous record against them considering records. The last series was played in March 2023 but also they played the final in London. However, India wants to keep there winning streak against Australia so it will be aiming to make it a hat trick in Australia. However former Australian coach John Buchanan doesn’t feel India can make it this time as he feels traveling teams don’t get much time for practice due to jet lag and the stress of the journey. John Buchanan said:
“I never give predictions on numbers, but I’d just say that I think that Australia’s favored going into the series right at this stage. Particularly, when you look around world cricket these days, and it has been for some time, it’s very difficult to tour other countries, and one of the reasons for that is that traveling teams no longer have that preparation in a country.
“They don’t play two or three games before playing the first Test to adjust to a country, because nobody wants to tour for that long. That makes it very difficult when you go to Perth, when it’s fast and bouncy, for a side that’s coming from…they will have played Bangladesh and New Zealand at home. So, the wickets are going to be completely different.”“Albeit it’s fantastic lead-in that they’re playing some Test cricket, but it’s going to be quite difficult to go to Perth to start with.”
Can Australia make an upset against India or India will make the hat trick in Australia?
