Former Indian cricketer Yograj Singh takes another blunt jab at former skipper of Indian cricket team, MS Dhoni. The former cricketer blames MS Dhoni for destroying his son’s (Yuvraj Singh) career.
Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni’s names don’t appear on the list of friends our cricketers who share a good bond. Both have had a history where the former all-rounder’s father has had a straightforward remark against the former wicketkeeper. Previously, Yuvraj Singh himself stated in an interview in November 2023 that he doesn’t consider MS Dhoni as his close friend. The former all-rounder further said that he had a very different lifestyle to that of MS Dhoni. Yuvraj Singh also noted that although they weren’t close, they would give 100% on the ground for the nation.
Yograj Singh Blames MS Dhoni For Sabotaging Yuvraj Singh’s Career
Yograj Singh blamed MS Dhoni for sabotaging Yuvraj Singh’s career. The former cricketer and Yuvraj Singh’s father asked the former captain and wicketkeeper to look at his face in the mirror. Yograj Singh stated that he can never forgive MS Dhoni. Yuvraj Singh could have played for another four to five years, said the former cricketer and the former allrounder’s father. In an interview on Zee Switch YouTube channel, Yograj Singh said that,
“I won’t forgive MS Dhoni. He should look at his face in the mirror. He is a very big cricketer, but what he has done against my son, everything is coming out now; it can never be forgiven in life. I have never done two things in life – first, I have never forgiven anybody who has done wrong for me, and second, I have never hugged them in my life, be it my family members or my kids. That man (MS Dhoni) has destroyed the life of my son, who could have played four to five years more.”
Furthermore, Yograj Singh heaped praise on Yuvraj Singh and said he should be awarded Bharat Ratna for playing in the ODI World Cup 2011 while battling cancer. The former cricketer also noted the statements given by former cricketers Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir. They had claimed that there wouldn’t be another Yuvraj Singh in the future.
