India sealed the series by winning the second T20I match by 7 wickets by DLS method. Head coach Gautam Gambhir won his first series and Suryakumar Yadav led the team quite well he showed his class with the bat too.
Sri Lanka had a flying start till 15 over but after that, they couldn’t make a comeback and were able to score just 161. A young squad showed that they have the potential to fight with every team and also can win matches against them.
Ravi Bishnoi speaks about team management
India won the second match and also the series but the most important contribution was by Ravi Bishnoi and he performed well in both matches he was adjourned as Man Of the Match. Bowlers in this series were highlighted more than batters. Every bowler made their plans well and it was executed too perfectly. Ravi Bishnoi had an injury in the last match as the ball hit his face while catching despite that he bowled the whole spell this shows they are more concerned about the game than injury, also he picked 2 wickets in the first match and three in the next match. Ravi Bishnoi has a bright future and being a leggie he has more advantage to bowl in a tricky way. During the match presentation, Ravi Bishnoi said:
“The pitch was different today. It wasn’t turning in the first innings yesterday, but it was turning today. My pace is a good pace for me, I enjoy bowling in that pace,” he said.
“I love bowling wrong’uns, and I try to do what works for me. Wrong’uns work against the left-hander,” he commented.
“Bowling at the death shows the management trusts me, and I love that responsibility,” he added.
What new plans and strategies will be made by Gautam Gambhir if Ravi Bishnoi bowls in death overs this is a huge risk but if it works for a couple of matches then Gautam Gambhir may stick to the same plan and will continue with the same.
