RR vs LSG: Records Galore After LSG’s Spectacular Win Over RR

RR once again bottled an easy chase against LSG. Shimron Hetmyer and Dhruv Jurel couldn’t chase 9 runs in the last over once again, and this time it’s against Avesh Khan, who defended 9 runs, and LSG won the match by 2 runs. RR‘s top order is doing their job well and handing the chase to the finishers, but they somehow find a way to bottle it.

RR got some positives at the top order with Yashasvi Jaiswal’s 3 back-to-back half centuries and young Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s fireworks, but they need to work a lot with their finishers.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi made his debut for RR yesterday, becoming the youngest player to debut in IPL. He debuted at the age of 14 years, 23 days. He broke the previous record of Prayas Ray Barman, who debuted for RCB in 2019 at the age of 16 years, 157 days.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi started his career with a six over extra covers in his first ball of IPL against Shardul Thakur, made a statement that he has no fear.. He scored 34 runs off 20 balls in which he smashed 3 huge sixes and 2 fours, giving a solid start for the Royals

He also became the youngest player to score 30+ runs in the IPL. Riyan Parag held this record before when he scored 43 runs off 29 balls against the Mumbai Indians in 2019 at the age of 17. Since Rahul Dravid has taken charge as the head coach of the Rajasthan Royals, we could see a lot of youngsters being promoted in the team.

RR retained youngsters like Dhruv Jurel, Riyan Parag ahead of their experienced players in the auction. Riyan Parag was appointed as the stand-in Captain in the absence of Sanju Samson, and today we saw a 14-year-old boy opening the innings for them. They are the youngest squad in this season and definitely has the potential to shine as a power house before next mega auction
