Three T20Is, a high-profile ODI tri-series and two World Test Championship matches headline Pakistan’s packed October-November schedule. Pakistan are set for a hectic home season as Sri Lanka and England arrive for a multi-format international calendar running from October 9 to November 21.
The schedule gives Pakistan valuable preparation across all three formats while bringing competitive ODI cricket back to the country ahead of the 2027 ODI World Cup. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that Sri Lanka will feature in bilateral T20Is and Tests, while England will join both teams for a seven-match ODI tri-series.Â
Sri Lanka Begin the Pakistan Tour
The action starts with Sri Lanka’s three-match T20I series against Pakistan at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
The matches are scheduled for October 9, 11 and 13, marking Pakistan’s return to T20I cricket after the 2026 T20 World Cup. For both teams, the series offers an opportunity to assess combinations and build momentum before the longer ODI schedule begins.
The short-format contest also sets the stage for a much bigger month of cricket in Pakistan.Â
England Join for ODI Tri-Series
England will then join Pakistan and Sri Lanka for a seven-match ODI tri-series from October 18 to 31.
The tournament begins in Rawalpindi, with Pakistan facing Sri Lanka on October 18, followed by Pakistan taking on England on October 20 and Sri Lanka meeting England on October 22.
The action then shifts to Lahore for the remaining league matches, with the top two teams qualifying for the final at Gaddafi Stadium on October 31.Â
The tri-series carries added significance because ODI cricket is entering an important phase ahead of the 2027 World Cup. For Pakistan, playing two strong international opponents at home provides valuable opportunities to test their squad, combinations and consistency in the 50-over format.
It is also Pakistan’s second consecutive year hosting an ODI tri-series, following last year’s tournament involving New Zealand and South Africa ahead of the 2025 Champions Trophy.Â
Tests Carry World Championship Stakes
Once the ODI tri-series concludes, Sri Lanka will remain in Pakistan for a three-day warm-up match in Islamabad from November 4 to 6 before beginning the two-Test series.
The first Test will be played in Rawalpindi from November 9 to 13, while the second will take place at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, from November 17 to 21.
These matches form part of the ICC World Test Championship 2025-27, making them particularly important for both sides. Pakistan are currently eighth in the nine-team WTC standings, meaning every home Test carries significant value as they look to improve their position.Â
A Crucial Season for All Three Teams
The packed schedule has implications beyond Pakistan’s home campaign. Sri Lanka will face Pakistan across T20Is, ODIs and Tests, giving them a demanding multi-format tour.
For England, the ODI tri-series is the beginning of a particularly busy winter. After Pakistan, England are scheduled to travel to Australia for three ODIs and five T20Is before heading to South Africa for a multi-format tour.
For Pakistan, meanwhile, the home season offers something equally important: consistent high-level cricket in familiar conditions.
With three formats, two opponents and World Test Championship points at stake, Pakistan’s October-November calendar promises to be one of the most important stretches of their 2026 home season.
