Costly first ball Gamble by Salman Ali Agha
The 43 year old slow left arm spinner Aamir Kaleem had already dismissed Mohammad Harris who attempted a reverse sweep but couldn’t execute it properly as the ball hit the bottom part of his bat and deflected onto the stumps. His first two wickets were of decent deliveries but he bowled a juicy full toss to Salman Ali Agha and was fortunate enough to get a wicket.
Salman Ali Agha played a half hearted shot which he could have easily dispatched over the rope and secure a boundary, however he couldn’t get under the ball properly and mistimed it and the fielder didn’t even had to take more than 2 steps as he pouched it comfortably.
Another Golden Duck into the Tally
This was Salman Agha’s 2nd Golden duck he had registered his first Golden duck against Australia a year ago in Sydney. Pakistan were in a decent position and the necessity of playing a half hearted shot was not the need of the hour. Both fans and the team expect a good performance from the captain of the team but Salman couldn’t live up to the hopes.
However the green shirts posted a decent total of 160 for the loss of 7 wickets thanks to Mohammad Harris’s half century and a small cameo of 19 runs from 10 balls by Nawaz which helped the Men in Green to reach a respectable Total.
