Pakistan lost the first match against Bangladesh, it was the most shameful defeat that ever happened to Pakistan. The second test resumed yesterday however the first day was abandoned due to rain. There are questions raised about PCB for scheduling 2nd Test match at Rawalpindi where there is rain scheduled for almost all 5 days of the Test match.

However, Shaheen Afridi was excluded from the squad ahead of the second test and social media went down trolling how Shaheen Afridi can be removed and many questions have been raised regarding this. PCB is going through a massive revamp as we have witnessed multiple chairmen and management and skippers over the last 3 years which is not good for a nation which has quite a huge pedigree.

Ahmed Shehzad criticizes the Pakistan team

The second test between Pakistan and Bangladesh began yesterday but day 1 was washed off, however, the main concern was Shaheen Afridi was excluded from the XI so the questions and trolling started. Former Pakistan player Ahmed Shehzad criticized the Pakistan team for only excluding Shaheen Afridi, since Shaheen Afridi was blessed with a baby boy and to spend some time with his family he has rested the team then why not Babar Azam, Babar Azam is not in touch with, his form has declined past many games and so he too has been excluded from the XI. Ahmed Shehzad said:

“You first lost to Zimbabwe, then lost to Ireland, lost to the USA, lost to India, and now you have lost to Bangladesh as well. Is Shaheen Afridi only responsible for all those defeats? No, he is not solely responsible. All should be questioned about who was involved in those defeats. What’s the performance of Babar Azam in the last 14 innings in Tests?”

“Holding Shaheen Afridi alone responsible for all the defeats is wrong. Look at his performances, there is a problem in his attitude, you dropped him, and that’s fine. But what about others? What about their performances? What is the performance of Abdullah Shafique in the last 8 matches? You have brought in Saim Ayub back after 25 matches, what’s his performance?”
“Dropping only Afridi will not get Pakistan on the right track. You will have to make some harsh decisions. All those who have been involved in those defeats with poor performances should also be questioned. They should also be held accountable, nobody is bigger than cricket or the country. Country comes first, everything after that,” said Shahzad on X.

“No matter how their public relations are, no matter how much they hide behind their milestones, no matter how much money they put in, we know everything, and those who are at the helm of affairs in the PCB, they also know everything. So the time has come where not just one if you want to move in the right direction, question all those who have been involved.”

If Pakistan needs to win matches then they should build a new team and give chances to new players senior players need to rest and rehabilitate themselves then only they can come winning ways.
