Pakistan will embark on a new era under in the red ball format under the coaching of Jason Gillespie who has advised Pakistani cricketers to develop their own brand of cricket. Pakistan can’t afford to take Bangladesh lightly in the 2 Test matches starting from 21st August as the Bangladeshi Tigers have a surprise element in them.
After a shocking defeat in the T20 World Cup 2024, it’s almost 2 months before Pakistan will be back in action. Shan Masood will be leading the team. All eyes will be on the ex-skipper Babar Azam whose form has come under scrutiny after the batter not converting his starts and he along with Rizwan needs to play out of their skin if they want to take giant steps in ICC World Test Championship (WTC 2023-25) points table.
Naseem Shah speaks about foreign coaches
Whenever any foreign coaches join the Asian team as head coach or for any other role, the most important thing is that they continuously converse in English so some players won’t understand their language as they speak quite fast yet they are clear too while speaking they ensure that none of them would get blank so an assistant coach should be with the team so that players won’t hesitate to speak in front of them. So now Pakistan has both foreign coaches in white ball format and red ball format too, Pakistan’s speedster Naseem Shah has expressed his feelings about foreign coaches, Naseem Shah said:
“There is a language problem with foreign coaches. We need someone to translate the language. It is easier to communicate with the coach in your language.”
“Yes, our comeback wasn’t great, and we can’t deny that we didn’t play good cricket. Criticism is part of it, and we must endure it until things improve. This is a good chance to bounce back, play better, and show up as a team. That’s what I’m hoping for. I haven’t played red-ball cricket for 13 months; it’s not easy to play after a long time. International cricket has its pressure; however, we are training hard for it.”
