Hosts Pakistan suffered a huge loss against Bangladesh in a first test match, Bangladesh registered their first-ever victory over Pakistan. Bangladesh chased the target of 30 runs, and many people have started trolling after their poor performance.

Pakistan had a great start in the first innings but they made a huge mistake by declaring the innings and felt they lost the match. Pakistan hasn’t won any test series at home and they kept their streak for a long time.

Shahid Afridi raised concerns after Pakistan’s huge loss

Pakistan suffered a huge loss against Bangladesh with 10 wickets, Bangladesh created history with that but the trollers didn’t hesitate to slam Pakistan, like just 30 runs to chase in the very shameful thing they didn’t even have any concrete plans and so they even committed mistakes which cost them in the end. Also, former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi raised his concerns over it, Pakistan in the old days the most destructive team bowlers used to dominate, and Shahid Afridi was the most consistent player among them. Shahid Afridi said:

“A 10-wicket defeat raises serious questions about the decision to prepare this type of pitch, select four fast bowlers, and leave out a specialist spinner. This to me clearly shows a lack of awareness about home conditions. That said, you cannot take the credit away from Bangladesh for the brand of cricket they played throughout the Test.”

Also, Skipper Shan Masood expressed his views on the pitch and why they took that decision to declare, Shan Masood said:

“Looking at the pitch, we expected it to do more. If we played 3 fast bowlers, we would be pushing them to the limit and the spinner would be bowling 25-30 overs a day, which we wanted to avoid. We thought that with the weather, it may not even last the full 5 days. At the end of the day, we got it wrong.

“Hindsight’s 20/20. The reason for the declaration was a positive push – to push the game forward and hopefully have a crack at them in the 4th innings. We could have done with those runs but there were also things with the ball and in the field that we could’ve done better to either take a lead or keep them at par,” Masood added.
