The Hundred, Oval Invincibles became the first team to qualify for playoffs and they defeated London Spirit, this season Oval Invincibles have dominated like nothing and so they deserve to win the trophy.
London Spirit dismantled in front of Oval Invincibles
London Spirit is out of form this season and they are not playing like a team which is implemented in today’s performance too. London Spirit was invited to bat first. Despite having a great start by Michael Pepper none of the batters later was able to contribute and so they lost control over the innings which turned out to be a disaster for London Spirit. The whole team got all out on 96.
Zampa- Curran made the day for Oval Invincibles
Oval Invincibles is in red-hot form, every department has the temperament to win games and everyone has the potential to handle the situation. Once again bowlers made the day happen for Oval Invincibles which makes them the strongest team of the tournament. Adam Zampa and Sam Curran picked 7 wickets together, while Tom Curran picked 2 wickets and Will Jacks picked 1 wicket.
Jordan Cox finished the work for Oval Invincibles
The target was quite simple for Oval Invincibles after a brilliant performance by the bowlers it’s time to get some run-chase onboard. David Malan and Will Jacks came to bat Will Jacks lost his wicket quite early but Jordan Cox came and took the charge from the start which ended in a half-century and so David Malan also supported him by scoring 29 runs and with that Oval Invincibles became the first team to qualify for playoffs. So, finally, the streak of Sam Curran comes to an end a new player in the house was adjourned as Man Of The Match is none other than Adam Zampa for his fiery spell of 4/17.
Yet another flop day for London Spirit bowlers
After sinking with the bat even bowlers couldn’t set the bar with the ball just 97 runs wasn’t enough to defend and so it reflected in their bowling too. They are officially knocked out of the tournament but they haven’t tasted win past many games just won one game. Only Olly Stone was the sole breadwinner in bowling, a season to forget for London Spirit, hope they comeback strongly.
