The Hundred, Oval Invincibles registered yet another win and now they have made their position, even more, stronger for qualifying for the playoffs.
James Vince rescued Southern Brave
Southern Brave didn’t give an ideal start as they lost the wicket quite early but James Vince stood from one end and kept hopes for Southern Brave. Later none of the batters was able to contribute to the game only Kieron Pollard and Jofra Archer played some cameo innings which made a huge impact on the game and even James Vince scored a half-century which took the team’s total to 118 but lost 8 wickets.
Tom Curran made the day for Oval Invincibles
Oval Invincibles are unstoppable and they are playing like a team so the opposition failed to compete with them. Yet another spectacular performance shown by Oval Invincibles bowlers but this time Senior Curran did the job for the team, Tom Curran picked 4 wickets and left a huge impact in the game while Junior Curran picked 2 wickets, Sam Curran is in red-hot form his consistency has helped him to improve his game. Adam Zampa and Will Jacks picked 1 wicket each and contributed well with the ball.
Jordan Cox stood for Oval Invincibles
So the target was quite simple yet challenging for Oval Invincibles, the openers gave a slow start but lost a wicket in the start, then Jordan Cox came and lit the stage on fire he played an outstanding innings of 46 runs which kept the hopes of Oval Invincibles on high. Also, the consistent Sam Curran added some runs with the bat he played 35 runs innings including 5 brilliant sixes. Jordan Cox remained unbeaten and so the target was chased down sparing 15 balls. Once again Sam Curran was adjourned as Man Of the Match, it’s his fourth award straight in a row.
Hard luck for Southern Brave
Southern Brave was not upto the mark and so they failed to deliver the performance first with the bat then with the ball, 118 was the target which wasn’t that difficult to chase but the day wasn’t going good for Southern Brave. Every bowler picked 1 wicket each and so they didn’t hold there nerves which turned the result towards Oval Invincibles.
