Major League Cricket (MLC) has commenced with their second season from today and the very first match was between MI New York vs Seattle Orcas. As it was the replay of first season’s final were MI New York clinched the inagural title of MLC and this time too they secured the win very convincingly.
Seattle Orcas demolished like pack of cards
So the toss was won by MI New York and they opted to bowl first which proved to be the nightmare for Seattle batters. As openers lost their wicket very early later Shubham Ranjane stood for a while but wickets were falling from other side. Shubham Ranjane was the higest run getter he scored 35 runs and later in the end Harmeet Singh gave some finishing touches and scored 20 runs which was a brilliant cameo. In the end Seattle Orcas registered 108 onboard and got all-out.
Rashid and Boult stole the show
MI New York is considered as one of the best bowling unit of MLC and we witnessed their dominance last season this time also they rose to the occasion and grabbed everyone’s attention with their performance. Rashid Khan and Trent Boult out shined well and picked 3 wickets each, this shows Seattle Orcas was nowhere in the match and didn’t gave a chance to prove themselves. Skipper Kieron Pollard picked 2 wickets.
Nicholas Pooran left no stone unturned
So the target for MI New York was just 109 and MI New York also couldn’t start well but later Nicholas Pooran came and took the match towards MI New York within no seconds he smashed couple of boundaries like last year in final he has smashed 137 runs against the same team but even this time too he continues his form and scoed 62 unbeaten runs and took team to winning track within 14.2 overs. Nicholas Pooran was adjourned as Man Of the Match.
Seattle Orcas didn’t settle with ball
While defending the target it was pretty hard to silent MI New York batters still they managed to get early dismissals but Nicholas Pooran tornado came in between and devastated everything with his powerful knock. Cameron Gannon was the only who picked 2 wickets Nandre Burger and Zaman Khan picked one wicket each rest no contributions from other bowlers.
