How The New Coach Will Handle Young Talents: Jatin Paranjape On Gautam Gambhir
Member of the BCCI’s CAC, Jatin Paranjape, talked about the head coach guiding the Indian cricket team. The former cricketer stated It will be crucial how the current coach will manage the incredible pool of talent for the next three years, given the ICC’s planned tour schedule. In addition, he also mentioned that the favorable outcome depends upon the current position of the team. Speaking to CricketNext, Jatin Paranjape said,
“It depends on where the team is at the moment. Three years ago, we were ready to take on new challenges after beating Australia, and Rahul took the team forward from there. For the next few years, considering the ICC’s future tours program, the key is how the new coach will handle this bank of amazing talent”
Furthermore, Jatin Paranjape talked about how Gautam Gambhir would handle any situation. He talked about players like Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami, who have a lot of workload. To explain his statement, he said it is very important for the above two pacers to stay fit for the upcoming tournaments. The 2027 ODI World Cup and the 2026 T20 World Cup are the two major competitions ahead. In addition, he also said that the ideal candidate should be able to oversee and develop the team’s human capital. He added,
“How will they manage workloads for players like Bumrah and Shami to maintain their strength for major tournaments like the 2027 ODI World Cup and the 2026 T20 World Cup? The ideal candidate should be able to manage and strengthen the human capital of the team over their term”
Following his appointment as a head coach, Gautam Gambhir on the Internet said that serving his nation has been the greatest privilege of his life. In addition, Gambhir said that India is his identity and it’s an honor to be back. Moreover, he said that he still wants to make every Indian proud, just like he always has. Lastly, Gautam Gambhir stated that the hopes of 1.4 billion Indians are carried by the Indian team and will stop at nothing but to see that these aspirations come true.
Furthermore, BCCI’s secretary Jah Shah welcomed Gautam Gambhir as the new coach and called him a close fit for modern-day cricket.
