Delhi Capitals (DC) Part Ways with Skipper Rishabh Pant Ahead of Auction
DC released their skipper Pant as they wanted to explore ‘buyers’ market’ and look for options during the auction. Pant was bought for ₹1.9 crore as a young talent by Delhi Capitals franchise back in 2016 and has been with the team in nine IPL season. Mitchell Starc was the most costliest player in the history of IPL in IPL 2024 Auction with a whooping 24.75 Crores by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

Rishabh Pant Exits Delhi Capitals, Set to Re-enter IPL as Marquee Player
After having been a part of the Delhi Capitals setup for nine years, Rishabh Pant is scheduled to go under the hammer in Mega Auction for the first time since 2016, the year he will turn 27. Pant’s name has been included in the Marquee Players of IPL 2025 with a base price of ₹ 2 crores.
IPL 2025 Player Set Divisions: Notable Talents in Groups One and Two
The star-studded players are divided into two groups this time, where Jos Buttler, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, Arshdeep Singh, Kagiso Rabada and Mitchell Star will be part of set one. Other players that will be seen in set two include KL Rahul, Yuzvendra Chahal, Liam Livingstone, David Miller, Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj.
The player’s auction for this year’s IPL will involve the bidding of the 574 players, out of which 336 Indians for 79 sets. The auction will be two days, October 24 and 25 at the Abady Al Johar Arena in KSA, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
