Captain for the day and keeper batter Lorcan Tucker stood up for Ireland and led from the front to dig Ireland out of a hole from 66/4 to 235/5 thanks to Tucker and contributions from Gareth Delany and George Dockrell. For Oman, Shakeel Ahmed picked up 3 wickets and was the pick of the bowlers while Aamir Kaleem bowled well. The rest went for runs. Oman with all to do in the second half.

Put into bat first, Tim Tector and Ross Adair came out to open the batting for Ireland while Shakeel Ahmed had ball in hand for Oman. Tector got an outside edge that went away to the third man fence. Shakeel hit back and had the last laugh as he knocked over Tim for 5 off 4 balls with a boundary to his name as the batter was exposing the stumps. Harry Tector came out to bat next and he cut the ball past backward point for a boundary.
Faisal Shah took the ball from the other end as Ross Adair welcomed him with a boundary via a square drive through point region. Adair went again as he lofted it over the bowler’s head for a boundary. Adair got a hat-trick of boundary as he slashed it away past backward point for a boundary. Shakeel continued as Ross was given OUT but the batter reviewed and the big inside edge saved the batter here. But Shakeel eventually had Ross as he fell for 14 off 7 balls with 3 fours to his name as he was holed out. Captain Lorcan Tucker came to the crease next.
He got off the mark with an outside edge that went past slips and away for a boundary. Nadeem Khan came into the attack next. Tector drove it uppishly through cover point for a boundary. Nadeem overstepped and the free hit was swept away behind square for a boundary. Shakeel continued and he knocked over Harry Tector for 14 off 13 balls with 2 fours to his name with an absolute peach of a delivery. Curtis Campher came out to bat next.
Nadeem came to bowl the last over of powerplay and he bowled a tight over. At the end of powerplay, Ireland were in a spot of bother at 47/3 in 6 overs with Tucker unbeaten on 12 off 12 balls and Campher with him on 1 off 1 ball. Drinks was taken at this stage.

Shakeel Ahmed bowled his final over as Campher punched it through covers for a boundary. Campher went big again as he beat the fielder at long-off for a boundary. Aamir Kaleem came into the attack next and was greeted with a boundary with the sweep down on one knee to deep square leg region. Kaleem hit back and trapped Campher LBW for 12 off 7 balls with 2 fours to his name. The batter reviewed in hope and burnt the review. Gareth Delany came to the crease as well.
Tucker survived a stumping appeal as the 50-50 decision went his way. Nadeem Khan returned to the attack. Delany slapped the ball away to the deep point region for a boundary. Kaleem continued and bowled a quiet over as Ireland reached 79/4 in 10 overs at the halfway stage of the game. Nadeem continued as Delany went big down the ground for the maximum. Tucker showed great innovation and scooped it over the keeper’s head for the boundary. Tucker again played the ramp shot over the keeper for a boundary. Kaleem continued as Tucker brought up his fifty off 35 balls to the deep fine leg fence. Ireland were 124/4 in 14 overs when the second Drinks Break was taken.
Jiten Ramanandi came into the attack after the break. Delany welcomed him with a maximum down the ground and followed it up another maximum down the ground. Ireland were 142/4 in 15 overs with Tucker unbeaten on 56 off 39 balls and Delany unbeaten on 38 off 21 balls.

Mohammad Nadeem came into the attack next as Tucker scooped the ball over the keeper for a boundary. Faisal Shah returned to the attack as Delany crunched it away down through covers for a boundary. The 150 came up for Ireland in 16.1 overs. Delany went big as he smashed it down the ground for the maximum. Delany got to his fifty off 28 balls. Delany placed the ball and lofted it over covers for a boundary. The 100-run stand came up between the duo. Faisal finally broke through as he removed Delany for 56 off 30 balls with 3 fours and 4 sixes to his name as he was holed out in the deep.
George Dockrell came out to bat next and got off the mark with a brace. Nadeem continued as Tucker whipped it away over deep backward square leg for the maximum. Tucker pierced the gap through short third and backward point for a boundary. Tucker again drilled it away for a boundary past the bowler. Tucker muscled it away over deep square leg for the maximum. Tucker went downtown again over long-on for the maximum.
Jiten came to bowl the 19th over as Dockrell carved it over sweeper cover for the maximum. The 200 came up for Ireland in 18.2 overs. Tucker then pumped it past sweeper covers for a boundary. Dockrell went big and pumped it straight down the ground for a maximum. Sufyan Mehmood came to bowl the final over. Dockrell went big over deep midwicket for the maximum.
Dockrell went big again down the ground for the maximum over long-on. Dockrell carved it away again over deep point for the maximum. 21 runs came off the final over as Ireland finished with 235/5 in 20 overs with Tucker unbeaten on 94 off 51 balls with 10 fours and 4 sixes to his name.
