While addressing to media Rohit Sharma clarified that he retires from T20IS. Before that in post match presentation Virat Kohli announced his retirement from T20is, both stalwarts of T20 will not be seen in from here.
Rohit Sharma opens up on his International retirement
After winning T20 World Cup Rohit Sharma announced his retirement from T20Is, now all fans were speculating that whether Rohit Sharma will soon announce his international retirement. While speaking to media in an event Rohit Sharma clarifies the doubts of everyone about his retirement:
“I just said it, I don’t look that far ahead. So clearly, you will be seeing me play for a while,” Rohit said when asked about his plans once he’s done playing cricket.
With this line all fans had great relief as Rohit Sharma will see in blue jersey for some years, further he also expressed his views about the final 5 overs and how emotions were controlled by him:
“I was completely blank because I don’t think too far ahead. I focus on the situation. It was important for all of us to stay calm and execute our plans. So when they needed 30 off 30, the pressure was on us and the five overs that we bowled then, it showed we did our job calmly, didn’t panic which was very good from our side,” Rohit said.
To snatch the victory from jaws of defeat is not an easy job until you are Rohit Sharma, every Indian fan hold their emotions till the end and when Surya Kumar Yadav grabbed that epic catch everyone started celebrating the victory over there itself.
