India now has taken more than a sizeable lead of 286 runs. Dhruv Jurel & Ravindra Jadeja notched up brilliant tons, which not only annihilated the West Indies but have taken a huge stride forward in the match. Ravindra Jadeja continued his attacking game plan from the afternoon session, and in the evening session, he was astoundingly more careful in his approach.

Ravindra Jadeja & Dhruv Jurel were unperturbed against the new ball, which was taken in the 98th over. It was quite astounding to see that Roston Chase waited for 17 overs, as often second new ball often brings back life for the bowling team. Dhruv Jurel & Ravindra Jadeja were quite chary against the ball as Jayden Seales was bowling a brilliant spell, as off-stump channel line & length was quite spot on.

There was a tense phase for India as they didn’t play an attacking brand of cricket till the drinks break. India’s score was 364-4 in 111 overs, and both the batters Jadeja & Jurel were inching closer to their centuries. Roston Chase brought Khary Pierre into the attack, who was getting a sharp turn from the surface, but the concentration levels of Jurel & Jadeja were spot on.

Dhruv Jurel was seen negating the threat of turn by playing a fearless brand of cricket post-drinks break. Dhruv Jurel wasn’t afraid of playing ambitious cover drive shots. The surface was getting more than a miefield as the footmarks were making the ball turn sharply. Dhruv Jurel was getting close to his maiden ton.

At the last ball of the 116th over, Dhruv Jurel got up to his century, and there was a salute signature celebration by him. The partnership between Dhruv Jurel & Ravindra Jadeja was proving to be invincible. Just at the brink of Day 2 play, Dhruv Jurel was sent back to the pavilion as his sturdy knock of 125 in 210 balls was quite laudable. Ravindra Jadeja notched up his ton in 169 balls.
What lies ahead on Day 3 for India & West Indies
India most likely would be aiming to take the lead by close to 400 runs. The team management would be hoping that Washington Sundar scores some quick runs. West Indies, on the other hand, will have to brace itself for a steep challenge. The question now is how long the West Indies batters and, before that, bowlers will have to wrap up the remaining wickets, which looks more than an arduous task. It would sound very harsh, but the West Indies are almost out of the game as it is now about pride for Men in Maroon. Let’s see what folds on Day 3.
