Chamindu Wickramasinghe shines for Dambulla Sixers
As Galle Marvels had won the toss and opted to bowl first and felt like they are in driving seat wickets were falling at regular intervels and Dambulla batters found themselves in trouble and felt they couldn’t score much. Chamindu Wickramasinghe stood up and rose to the occasion, he scored unbeaten half century which took Dambulla Sixers to 160 runs.
Ups and Downs for Galle Marvels
Galle Marvels had opted to bowl first and they had a roller coaster ride with the bowl which in the end turned up to a disaster for bowlers as Chamindu Wickramasinghe roared in death overs and all plans went on a toss and Galle Marvels couldn’t control them. Kavindu Nadeeshan picked 3 wickets while Isuru Udana picked 2 wickets. Overall, Galle Marvels had a decent day with the ball.
Isuru Udana 72 runs went in vain
Galle Marvels had a disastrous start with the bat as 4 batters were sent to pavilion and found themselves in trouble, powerplay was dominated by Dambulla Sixers and didn’t gave a chance to score runs. Later in middle overs Galle Marvels was recovering a bit but they had least chance to make a comeback, even Isuru Udana lost his wicket in the end as he was the only hope who can save the team, but he couldn’t Isuru Udana played an explosive innings of 72 runs but it went in vain and Galle Marvels lost the match by 25 runs.
Dambulla Sixers dominated with the ball
So Dambulla Sixers had a slow start with the bat but they end on a happy note scoring 160 runs, they felt they would short by 10-15 runs but as soon as bowlers rose to the occasion even 160 runs also felt like 180 because bowlers dominated and didn’t gave a chance to make a comeback though Isuru Udana was playing a crucial knock but he too lost his wicket and Dambulla Sixers won the match by 25 runs which was a must win match for them. Chamindu Wickramasinghe was adjourned as Player Of the Match.
