Galle Marvels dismantled completely
Galle Marvels was batting first and they had a bad day with the bat and no one could support anyone so they failed to register a good score. Tim Seifert and Bhanuka Rajapaksa only scored big runs while others kept losing their wicket from the other end. In the end, Galle Marvels were able to just 138 runs and lost all wickets. Galle Marvels had a great chance to perform well but couldn’t score big as it was their last league match before playoffs.
Matheesha Pathirana shines for Colombo Strikers
As the day went well for Colombo Strikers they played like Strikers and dismantled Galle Marvels. Colombo Strikers had won the toss and opted to bowl first which helped them and the result went under the pocket. Out of all bowlers, Matheesha Pathirana picked 4 wickets and wasn’t given a chance to showcase their batting power. Dunith Wellalage and Shadab Khan picked 2 wickets each. Overall Colombo Strikers played like a team.

After a great performance with the ball, it’s time to roll the bat and chase the target. Colombo Strikers had a great start with the bat in powerplay they scored 60 runs where they almost won the match. Muhammed Wasim and Glenn Phillips kept the chase alive with two wickets lost by them. Muhammed Wasim scored a great half-century while Glenn Philipps scored 31 runs. A comprehensive win for the Colombo Strikers made their chances even stronger to qualify for playoffs. Matheesha Pathirana was adjourned as Man Of the Match.
Flop day for Galle Marvels
Galle Marvels had a bad day with the bat and even they couldn’t roll their arm with the ball. Maheesh Theekshana, Isuru Udana and Sanith Arachchige picked one wicket each. Galle Marvels flopped as a team and so they under performed in their last league match.
