Shivam Dube’s innings is a big positive- Parthiv Patel
Parthiv Patel was having a conversation with Star Sports. Parthiv Patel pointed out that Shivam Dube’s knock was quite impressive. Parthiv Patel stated that Shivam Dube can be a ‘X’ factor for India in ICC T20 World Cup 2026
“There are a plenty of positives from this game. Shivam Dube’s innings is a big positive, it was important for him to get that big knock which has now boosted his confidence,” said Parthiv Patel
“Earlier, there was a question when you spoke about two years ago that when short delivery would be bowled; he used to get out against fast bowlers. But now there are no such questions. He’s proven himself consistently. Speaking about T20, it’s the format of specialists, and Shivam Dube is an ultra pro max specialist when spinners come, he walks out to bat in the middle and always gets success and did that today as well,” he added.
Concerns for India
Even though, India has won the series, it has plenty of corrections to be made before the decider at Thiruvanthapuram. Concerns For the men-in blue. Sanju Samson’s dry run – Sanju Samson has been consistently failing to find rythm and is under immense pressure. Samson’s last t20 fifty was against Oman in the Asia Cup.
Bowling lacks experience and accuracy – Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya are the senior most bowlers, but it seems like India are still unprepared for life without Bumrah and Pandya as without them the bowling attack feels undercooked. Shreyas Iyer’s exclusion remains unexplained – in spite of being in the squad Iyer has not played a single match which is baffling.
