With Having a lead 2-0 over two times T20 World Cup champions West Indies, Jos Buttler would be eager to continue the dominance in the third match of their five match series on 15th November at Darren Sammy Stadium, St Lucia. England would be pumped up with back to back wins confidence is running high after winning first 2 T20I matches. Jos Buttler led side has looked on a mission and the skipper has marshaled his troops smartly.

The series thus far has showcased England’s skill and resilience. In the first T20I between the two sides, West Indies, batting first, posted a competitive total of 183. England’s star wrist-spinner Adil Rashid and Saqib Mahmood took 3 and 4 wickets respectively. While chasing, 28-year-old Phil Salt scored his third T20I century, helping England chase down the target with 23 balls remaining. In the second T20I, played at Kensington Oval in Barbados, England’s captain scored 83 runs, leading his team to successfully chase a target of 159 in just 14.3 overs with 33 balls remaining.

Rovman Powell’s unit need to regroup

West Indies are under significant pressure. Despite posting decent totals, their bowlers have struggled to contain England’s aggressive batting approach. The team’s strategy and execution have come into question, with bowlers appearing unsure and inconsistent. This match represents a final chance for the West Indies to bounce back and keep the series alive.

Jos Buttler’s side a force to reckon with

England cricket team is having a terrific time in the T20I format after a topsy-turvy T20 WC 2024. England’s ultra attacking approach has meant that they are making sure that Caribbean bowlers bowl according to their game-plan. Jos Buttler’s resurgence at the top of the order has meant that all the batters can play their natural game and all of a sudden England has started to peak given in both the T20Is they have registered dominating victories.

Most Likely Winner

England can be said as the favorites to win 3rd ODI as Andre Russell is out of the team with an injury and it won’t be that easy for Alzarri Joseph (*coming back from suspension) to immediately make an impact. If West Indies is chasing a target around 180-190 then they can take on England’s bowlers but they need someone to play the role of anchor in the middle overs phase which has been somewhat missing.

Pitch Reports

Daren Sammy Cricket Ground, Saint Lucia offers a good batting track. There is not much assistance to the bowlers tho we can expect some turns but playing with the line will offer a great advantage to the team chasing a total. Talking about past records, 175 is the average score for T20I in this ground. The team batting first should aim for a score of around 190-200 runs.
