Virat Kohli, the legendary Indian cricketer, argued with the media at Melbourne airport. Virat Kohli also had a brief conversation with a female media person asking her to give him and his family some privacy whilst travelling. Cricketers are often caught in public places by the media and are clicked for the newspapers.

This happens a lot, especially to Indian cricketers like Virat Kohli. Recently Jadeja was also at the center of a controversy when he only answered the questions of Indian media at a press conference and not of Australian media. It was rumored that he was getting late to catch the team bus.

Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja Stirring Things Up?

Channel 7, where Katich works as a commentator, has been at the center of both scandals. The first problem started when Australian reporters captured his family’s arrival in Melbourne on camera, which infuriated Virat Kohli. It was said that he had instructed them to protect his privacy and not to videotape him without his consent.

The media is doing its job, according to former Australian cricketer Simon Katich, who called the media scandals involving Indian players Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja “mind games.” He also said he had no idea what the “Indians are thinking.” He said :

“Obviously, there’s been a few things unfolding in the last week or so, that haven’t gone down well at that camp. It’s probably just the mind games being played, given the enormity of this series,” he said. “The media are here to promote the game and I don’t know what the Indians are thinking at the moment. That’s their problem,”

The series has continued to simmer off the field even though it has largely remained peaceful on it. After his press conference on Sunday, pacer Akash Deep was accused of being identical to Jadeja, despite the fact that he is reportedly only fluent in Bengali and Hindi. Another source claims that a T20 match between the Indian and Australian media was scheduled for Sunday but was canceled when the Indian media manager withdrew.

Katich, who represented Australia in 56 Test matches, 45 One-Day Internationals, and three Twenty20 Internationals, had previously worked with Kohli during his two-year stint with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru starting in 2019. He was appointed SunRisers Hyderabad’s assistant coach in 2021, however he quit shortly after since he didn’t agree with the team’s administration.

He was a member of the Kolkata Knight Riders as well. Until recently, he served as the head coach of MI Cape Town in the SA20 league before being replaced by South African Robin Peterson.

The next test match is all set to take place at Melbourne on Boxing Day at 26th December. Both teams will be looking to go one up on each other as the series is level at 1-1 after the first three matches.
