The Proteas captain, Temba Bavuma, congratulated one of the finest pacers in South Africa, Kagiso Rabada, for the victory over Australia in the ICC World Test Championship 2025. Temba Bavuma also predicted that Kagiso Rabada may be included in the ICC Hall of Fame list for his outstanding achievements.
Kagiso Rabada is a massive player- Temba Bavuma
Kagiso Rabada is one of the best Proteas pacers in South Africa. He was recognised for his epic performance against Australia in the ICC WTC 2025, which took place in Australia, following his recent appearance. Temba, captain of South Africa, has spoken about Rabada’s performance and assumed that he will probably be included in the ICC Hall of Fame list. The Proteas captain in a recent interview with Espncricinfo said that,
“KG is a massive player, a couple of days ago I went to the Hall of Fame inductees, I think he’ll be on there in a few years. Came into the game under controversy and did what he did.”
Kagiso Rabada, in his test career, has played over 70 matches. He has taken almost 336 wickets till now. Although he took a total of 4 wickets in the World Test Championship 25 against Australia, helping the team to win the test match.
Aiden Markram is unbelievable- Temba Bavuma
On the other hand, Captain Temba praised Rabada’s bowling format along with Markram’s aggressive batting style in the field. Temba lauded Markram by saying,
“Aiden is unbelievable. People have questioned his place, but he has character. He played in true Aiden fashion; he and Rabada have carried the character.”
Aiden Markram, as a batsman, played an excellent part in the South African team against the Aussies in this Test. In this five-day test series, Markram scored 136 runs from 207 balls by combining with Temba, which supported South Africa to challenge Australia in the WTC Final 2025. Although Australia tried to prevent South Africa from scoring as many as possible.
He also talks about this celebration not only belonging to them but to the whole nation. They must hold unity together. He said,
“We got ourselves into the final, there were doubters on the route we took, this win squashes that. Here’s an opportunity for us as a nation, divided as we are, to unite. You can rest assured we’ll celebrate as one,”
However, South African batters such as Temba, Markram, and pacer Rabada have been instrumental in winning this match over after a prolonged 28 years in the ICC World Test Championship 2025.
