Virender Sehwag advises youngsters to play aggressive test cricket
India has dominance in every format but test cricket is such that they play differently as they haven’t lost any series at home since 2014 outside India also they have a good record they have clinched victory twice in Australia and the 2021 series will always be memorable how Rishabh Pant stood till the end and finished the winning mark for India, so the pattern of playing test cricket in India hasn’t changed yet but some aggressive intent has shown by them when the situation needs, Rishabh Pant is such a player who makes test cricket even more entertaining he play some random shots and hardly he defense the ball, former Indian player Virender Sehwag want upcoming youngsters should also adapt the baseball style which England has started and they play quite aggressive to make tests cricket more thrilling. Virender Sehwag said:
“How England is playing Test cricket, scoring at five runs an over. In our playing days, Australia used to score at 4 runs per over. I have always believed that if you can attack, then you give your team more chances to win the Test matches,” Sehwag was quoted as saying by PTI.
“So, if anyone develops an aggressive game that can suit Test cricket, then why not? After all, we would like people to come and watch Tests. Was it good or bad? I scored a triple ton in 270-odd balls. Today’s kid might score 400 if they play that many balls,” he added.
India recently thrashed England by 4-1 and won the test series as their baseball didn’t work much and so they lost, Yashasvi Jaiswal scored the highest 700 runs as he was on the verge of breaking Sunil Gavaskar’s record but he played like an experienced player. India will face Bangladesh in September for a test series.
