RR vs PBKS : Records Galore After PBKS Clinch A Thriller Over RR

We are at the second phase of IPL after a long gap of 9 days, but it’s the same story for RR this season. They bottled yet another chase and this time a steep one of 220 runs but fell short by 10 runs against PBKS. RR management have to work on their finishers before next season.

Into the playoffs

PBKS won their match against RR and moved to 17 points, and with GT beating DC later in the evening, PBKS officially qualified for the playoffs. This is their 3rd appearance in the playoffs in 18 seasons, and their first in 11 years.

Shreyas Iyer has captained 3 teams in IPL so far, and has led all three sides to the playoffs. He is the first captain to do so. None of other captains have done it for more than one team. If MI qualifies this season, Hardik Pandya will become the second captain after him to do it for two teams ( MI & GT ).
