In the battle of two heavyweight teams, it was Sanju Samson who shone with the bat with his unbeaten ton before Akeal Hosein stole the show with the ball with his 4-wicket haul and Noor Ahmad chipped in as CSK thrashed MI by 103 runs. CSK batted first, and through a century from Sanju Samson and others chipping in, they got to 207/6 in 20 overs.
In reply, Akeal Hosein bamboozled them and picked up 4 wickets, while Noor Ahmad picked up 2 wickets, and the others got wickets each as CSK skittled MI out for 104 in 19 overs. MI were thoroughly outplayed in all facets of the game by CSK.
Sanju Samson’s Masterful Unbeaten Ton Powers CSK To Competitive 207/6
Put into bat first, keeper batter Sanju Samson and captain Ruturaj Gaikwad came out to bat for CSK while Jasprit Bumrah took the new ball for MI. CSK were quickly off the blocks as Gaikwad showed the right intent and was quickly off the blocks. Sanju got his eye in as Gaikwad did the bulk of the scoring initially. The duo put on 32 inside 3 overs before Gaikwad fell for 22 off 14 balls with 3 fours and one six to his name to Allah Ghazanfar. Sarfaraz Khan came out to bat next.

Overton struck some lusty blows as he hit two boundaries and a maximum in his cameo as he made 15 off 7 balls with 2 fours and one six to his name. Samson was also in full flow. From here, it was Sanju Samson taking full charge of proceedings. Akeal Hosein’s 4-wicket haul bamboozles MI to give CSK a resounding 103-run win
Chasing 208 for the win, keeper batter Quinton de Kock and Danish Malewar came out to bat for MI while Akeal Hosein, the impact player, came onto bowl for CSK.
