Farhan Akhtar has announced the release of Don 3 but there was nothing. But recently he launched the official teaser of Don 3 after a long wait of 12 years with none other than Ranveer Singh.
Ranveer Singh has recently appeared in Rock aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani where he has received a lot of praise for his role and movie. But the Don franchise fans are not quite happy without SRK.

The speculation of clashes between Farhan Akhtar and King Khan is rumored. The original script was written keeping SRK in mind. But after SRK not being in the movie the #NoSRKNoDon3 has been floating around the internet.
The movie was originally offered to King Khan but he detected the script admitting that he is willing to do movies like Jawaan. There is the smell of a clash between them because both the actor and director are close enough to share their valuable ideas to picture a better masterpiece. Some even say that SRK finds the script weak.

Ranveer Singh has been known for bubbly and shiny character but as a gangster serious role of Don is not as promising as it was with the previous actors who played the role. Although Ranveer Singh has a lot of potential, this particular role has high expectations and criticism which still requires more work.
Even if they look at his role choice, he was never offered a serious role after Lootera, which was almost years ago. In the current teaser, we can see he was either subconsciously or according to the script copying SRK for the role. The director-writer can add his own personality instead of just sticking to the traditional role. Will 500 Cr prove a suicidal bet with the actor?

It has already been 12 years since the last Don movie was released. With this long period of time, fans could lose interest in the movie. Ritesh Sidhwani of Excel Entertainment and Farhan Akhtar need to work at a good speed for the movie with the maintenance of quality.
YRF is already doing a better job in progressing the line of franchise for Ek Tha Tiger where the makers launched a new project every 5 years to keep the fanbase alive.
Will Kiara Advani replace Jungli Billi?

The character of junglee believed played by Priyanka Chopra was phenomenal and one of the most iconic thriller roles. Kiara Advani was supposed to play that iconic role but since there is no record of any thriller or bold character of her will it be the right choice? She was known for comic and romantic characters but it would be a questionable choice for an iconic role.

Since SRK is for movies like Jawan and not part of the Don series it can prove a fatal decision for Akhtar’s directional career. For breaking the iconic character of Don Shahrukh Khan has worked really hard to set the milestone after Amitabh Bachchan. Ranveer Singh requires more effort to accomplish the milestone again. Along with saying Advani is also a controversial character choice, especially for the movie and needs attention after such a long span of over a decade.
