Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) franchise have got a flamboyant all-rounder in the form of Krunal Pandya. The franchise bought him in IPL 2025 Mega Auction for 5.75 Crores. Krunal Pandya was a part of Mumbai Indians (MI) from 2016-2021 and then he was a part of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) from 2022-2024.
Krunal Pandya has been performing quite well in the domestic arena as well as for franchise teams. He was also tipped to be the next frontline spinner for India but couldn’t get enough chances for the team. Krunal in the recent 2-3 years has developed brute power hitting which can be very much fruitful for RCB given their home ground isn’t that big.
Lots to learn from Virat Kohli- Krunal Pandya
Krunal Pandya was having an interaction with RCB’s official You Tube channel. Krunal Pandya was quite pumped up for upcoming IPL 2025 edition & stated that he can’t wait to play with Virat Kohli. Krunal Pandya also pointed out that he will try his best to help RCB win IPL 2025 and said that it gives him great motivation.
“We all know who’s Virat Kohli and what he has done. Lots to learn as well from him. Again, I love his passion and aggression, what he brings to the team and that energy just rubs onto the others as well. I love that vibe and energy,” said Krunal Pandya.
“I’m also very passionate; I love winning. The agenda when I go out there on the field is to win, regardless of what happens. Sometimes, that brings out that aggression because you are so passionate about the game. At the end of the day, what I believe is that it’s a team game. For me, winning becomes much more important rather than individual performance because I love winning trophies,” he stated.
“Everything what I see about RCB, at this point of time, is very exciting. You know, getting into the season knowing the fact that RCB has not won, that itself is a great motivation to go out there and play,” he added.
Who will lead RCB
RCB hasn’t name the skipper for IPL 2025 edition, there are high chances that Virat Kohli will lead the team. Virat Kohli had resigned from the captaincy post IPL 2021 edition and often has said that he will play his last game in IPL only for RCB. With Virat no longer, playing for India in T20Is, the batter now can be more dangerous given he is a part of ICC T20 WC 2024 winning team.
Liam Livingstone can be a candidate to lead the side which seems unlikely to happen given the fact as if Liam captains the team, then RCB will have the option of fielding only 3 more overseas players. RCB fans would be eagerly waiting to see “King Kohli” to once again bring back the old aggression & captaincy flavor and end the drought of a IPL trophy.
