South African fast pacer Lungi Ngidi has appreciated his teammate Keshav Maharaj stunning performance and devotion towards ICC World Championship Test Final 2025 against Australia starting from 11th June. South Africa have a rare chance to give a shot at the ICC WTC 2023-25 final against a powerful Australian side.

The rising South African team player Lungi Ngidi has commented on Maharaj by applauding him that Maharaj will be the first Cricketer to commence his preparation before the management start to prepare at Lord’s. His commitment towards cricket is really unmatchable. Lungi shared his vision about Maharaj he said,
“Just the work ethic that he has, I don’t think anyone can match it. I can probably put my house on it (that) he’ll be the first cricketer out there on Wednesday. He will be on the early bus with management; while they’re setting up, he’s bowling,”
He also shared how Keshav reach to the field to practice and played half of the overs before others member arrive to practice. He said to ICC Digital,
“By the time we arrive, he’s probably bowled 10-15 overs already, and the game hasn’t even started. That’s the type of person Keshav is. I’m not surprised that he’s about to reach this milestone and I know there’s plenty more to come for him,”
Keshav Maharaj is a pivotal strength for South Africa for this test series. As a left arm spinner, he has taken 198 wickets out of 57 test matches at the average of 29.68. apart from being a sinner, Maharaj also made 1213 runs in his 57 test series.
For Australia, Keshav Maharaj will be a big challenge to get the ICC World Championship trophy in this season.

South African player Kyle Verreynne has titled Maharaj as ‘South Africa’s best test spinner’ and ‘top two or three best in the world’. In Australia vs South Africa 25, Maharaj will be completing 200 wickets. As per Kyle, he is an outstanding spinner. The wicketkeeper quoted,
“His planning’s incredible, so I think it’s no surprise that he’s South Africa’s best Test spinner and probably, at the moment, up there in the top two or three best in the world. So (him) getting to 200 wickets will be incredible and no surprises that he’s achieved so much in his career, just based on how much work and preparation he puts into his cricket,”
He also said that his commitment has encouraged other team members like Tristan Stubbs, who portrayed the spinner as “the most professional cricketer”. He said,
“Always in the gym, always working on his game, trying to get better. Bowls the most balls and he’s just really good at his craft and our best professional,”
Furthermore, the South African batter David Bedingham commended for Keshav Maharaj’s playing format in terms of ethics and Keshav’s affection towards spin bowling. He has been better gradually as a spinner. Bedingham added,
“Everyone in the team knows that whenever there’s a day off, Kesh will want to bowl. He just loves the art of spin bowling, he thinks about the game 24/7. With him wanting it that much, with him working that hard, that all adds to him taking these wickets. I genuinely think he gets better with age as well,”
