The 21 years old English cricketer Jacob Bethell has shared his experience with the run chaser Virat Kohli during the recent finished IPL 2025. Jacob Bethell was a part of the RCB squad where he contributed in his first shot, helped RCB to win the IPL 2025 Trophy after a prolonged 18 years later.
Jacob Bethell opens up on batting along with Virat Kohli
Jacob Bethell had debuted his test against New Zeeland on 28th November, 2024. Out of three test matches, Jacob made 260 runs at the average of 52.00. At the same time, he has played 12 one-day internationals, scoring 317 runs to date.
While playing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru for the first time, he shared his experience behind the dressing room, sharing one ground with the master run chaser Virat Kohli.
The young English all-rounder said
“It’s been great. [Virat] was unbelievable with helping me out, and even just the things he didn’t say to me personally, but just watching how he goes about training and how he approaches things.”

“Especially like chasing in a T20 game. That was unbelievable to watch and unbelievable to see first hand, just how easily he is able to shift up and down the gears and is able to template an innings depending on what is needed,”

Jacob Bethell has already achieved a maiden trophy in the recent IPL 2025 with RCB. Apart from that, he scored incredible 87 runs against West Indies. His performance so far was good.
