Gurbaz and Zadran stand stood for Afghanistan

Australia had won the toss and opted to bowl first but Afghanistan had some different plans openers Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran took a flying start and registered a centurion partnership and felt like Afghanistan would make it big but Australian bowlers restricted them to 148 as another batter could contribute and failed to score runs, if the partnership would have failed then Afghanistan would have cost badly.

Pat Cummins once again shines with the ball

Australia once again proved why they are the champion team and bowlers rose to the occasion and performed well. Adam Zampa picked 2 wickets while Stoinis picked 1 wicket, the highlight was Pat Cummins who picked once again a hattrick and became the first bowler to pick two consecutive hattricks in the T20 World Cup. Afghanistan was in good touch but Australian bowlers restricted them to score big and so once again they showed their class with the bowl.

 Maxwell’s innings went in vain

Australia was caught in trouble as Travis Head got out on zero and Afghanistan started well, later they tried even more to pick wickets and wickets were falling at regular intervals but Glenn Maxwell came out of Syllabus once again like how he came in Mumbai in World Cup 2023, once again he smashed a half-century and felt like Australia is back in the game, suddenly a twist in the plot Gulbadin Naib bowled a slower one and Noor Ahmed took a stunning catch which brought Afghanistan back in the game and it was Maxwell’s wicket. Later Australia collapsed like a pack of cards and so failed to come back and Afghanistan registered a thumping win over Australia for the first time in international cricket.

Gulbadin and Naveen- hero for Afghanistan

Afghanistan needed to defend just 149 so it was a task for them but they made it simple they dismissed Travis Head in the first over and later wickets were falling at regular intervals but a solid comeback was made by Gulbadin Naib took Maxwell’s wicket made a roaring comeback for Afghanistan, even Naveen-ul-Haq produced a great spell against Australia which is equally honored. Gulbadin Naib was adjourned as Man of the Match he picked 4 wickets conceding just 20 runs. This match will be remembered for ages and it’s going to be written in history books.
