There’s a lot of time for IPL- Rehan Ahmed

In an interview with The Telegraph, Rehan revealed that some people cautioned him about the potential risk of burning out due to excessive participation in franchise cricket. However, he remains focused on playing Test cricket for England and ensuring he is fully prepared for the challenges ahead.

Acknowledging the time available for future IPL opportunities, Rehan stated,

“There’s a lot of time for IPL and stuff if I get the chance again, and if I don’t get the chance to do it, I’m fine with that as well,”

He emphasized the importance of a long career and expressed his eagerness to contribute to England’s success. Rehan Ahmed, recognized as one of the most promising leg-spinners, highlighted his ongoing efforts to develop a Shane Warne-like flipper. Despite preferring simplicity during competition, he acknowledged the flipper’s significance in contemporary cricket, especially in T20 matches. Inspired by Warne’s mastery in setting up batsmen with the flipper, Rehan aims to incorporate this skill into his repertoire.

As the first Test between India and England approaches on January 25th in Hyderabad, Rehan Ahmed’s dedication to honing his craft and adapting to challenging conditions showcases the promising future of the young leg-spinner on the international stage.
