The swashbuckling left-handed batter Rishabh Pant has decimated the mighty Aussies in the past against all kinds of surfaces.

Ishan Kishan who has not yet played any Test cricket for India is now seen as a potential batter and wicketkeeper in the non-availability of Pant. Moreover, Kl Rahul was considered the first choice but due to his thigh injury, which he picked up during IPL, he was ruled out and KS Bharat was picked as the designated gloveman for India, in WTC 2023.

“I Certainly Go With The More Dynamic Wicketkeeper Batter Ishan Kishan”- Matthew Hayden

Former Australia Opener Matthew Hayden was having an interaction with PTI and said that Ishan Kishan would be a greater choice than KS Bharat, as the former can bring a bit of swagger to the batting line-up. Mathew Hayden, the former Australian Batter shows distress over the absence of Rishabh Pant in the Indian Squad for WTC 2021-23 final.

Ishan has smashed 454 runs in 16 matches at a strike rate of over 140 at the top of the order for MI in IPl 2023, thus his aggressive batting depicts that he could have the same impact that Pant had in the middle for India in red-ball cricket.

Ashwin And Jadeja In Playing XI Are Set To Be Impactful

Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja are both deemed to be influential for Indian Squad. Not only they will have an impact on bowling but they can also be expected to make substantial contributions with the bat. Mathew Hayden also believed that for India, what works is two spinners.

However, Ashwin has been India’s leading spinner in the recent past but the star spinner has not yet played any Test, since last time India toured England in 2021-2022. Despite the lack of performance both Ashwin and Jadeja are going to be a major asset in both bowling and batting department. As WTC matches are going to take place in The Oval Ground, England which are formidable and impactful for the spinners.
