At one-down, the real star of the show comes in with Dewald Brevis starting to show his consistency and huge shot range. After having two 75-run knocks in two straight matches, the confidence has gotten even higher for him, with his talent being nothing, but remarkable. Known for smashing sixes and being a 360-degree hitter, it will let Tony De Zorzi open up some room as a more patient batsman right behind him.
Now, the big question is: will Rubin Hermann take that next step, as he has shown potential in his 11-run knock in the last match, but can he stay like this without getting out? Zimbabwe: Batters Keep Producing From Top To Bottom
On the Chevrons’ side, it is clear that their batsmen can produce at any number, and that is what has consistently saved them from potential disasters in the past. Despite a pretty slow start here, he will find his tone soon, and it will be big for a unit that has Sikandar Raza at two-down as their best option. Seeing that Raza has hit over 3,000 runs and keeps on being patient, it’s been a big key to finishing off matches, with another key game-changer behind him in Ryan Burl.
Now that Ryan Burl had one of the best performances of his career last match, he will continue being switched depending on where Zimbabwe are chasing from, which seems to be exciting considering they have long-awaited a lefty like him. Closing it out, Brad Evans is another piece whose slowly added impactful runs towards the end and is this team’s X-factor.
South Africa: Bowling Attack Could Provide Something Special
The Proteas have a very hefty number of bowlers that have great ceilings and could lead them down the line.
