The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has appointed former India spinner Sairaj Bahutule as the spin bowling coach of the Indian men’s cricket team. Although Bahutule represented India in two Test matches and eight One-Day Internationals, his greatest impact came in domestic cricket. Over a first-class career spanning nearly two decades, he played 188 matches and picked up 630 wickets, establishing himself as one of the most successful spinners on the Indian domestic circuit.
His contribution was not limited to the ball. Bahutule also scored 6,176 first-class runs, highlighting his value as a genuine all-round cricketer. His consistency and longevity earned him immense respect among teammates and opponents alike.
